Of course, sometimes, the TV is beyond repair and you should replace it instead. Generally, you’ll have a few warning signs that things are not exactly right. I bought the monitor from BestBuy about a month ago.If your TV isn’t working properly, there are still a few things to consider before you give up on it. I'm not even sure how to troubleshoot this. I went into the bathroom to brush my teeth, was gone for about 5 minutes and came back to this. I have multiple monitors hooked up to my PC so I know it's not the PC, the other monitors are working just fine, and windows sees it as a valid monitor when I turn it on (it extends the desktop to a monitor that's just a black screen and moves my windows over to that screen). I tried plugging my switch into it via the HDMI and it also does not bring up a picture. It comes out of standby when a device it's plugged into sends it the appropriate signal but it's still a black screen and the menu joystick still doesn't bring up a menu. Turning it on makes the usual beep tone it makes also. Holding the menu button down still powers the monitor off like it's supposed to. The menu still won't come up when the menu button/joystick is pressed. And By lit Up I mean it's still black but you can tell it's getting power and the screen has that black "powered off" but still illuminating look. The monitor is "lit up" but it's still black. SO I unplugged it and plugged it back in. ![]() pushing the joystick to bring up the monitor did nothing. I was using my LG Ultragear monitor on my PC plugged into the display port and walked away. ![]()
